The following prose poem/short story is from an often overlooked, but nonetheless influential, genre known as The Report from the Field. This is an excerpt of an activity report written by a community organization to a donor---
Nyaluak also was imprisoned following serious fight with her husband for the fact that she was sneaking local brewery wine (alcohol) to island for sell. And in return she could run about with it. But the husband wanted to drink up the alcohol with his friends and his wife thought those friends being extremely loss on her. the fight started but the women retaliated by hitting the friend of her husband who supported the fight ... on his face where blood flows. and the police saw him with the physical evidence. and women were extremely arrested escorting with massive torturing (keening or beating) at least she was imprisoned for 14 days.
